    Description

The inscription reads, “Souvenir Sleepy Eye.” This early covered jar was probably intended to be something for jewelry on top of a dresser. Made
    approximately
between 1900-1920. It is made of very heavy thick glass and polished. Edges are beveled and polished.  It has a light gold wash overall and gold lettering. It is 2 1/4” tall and 2 1/4” diameter cover. In photo 3 I have a black piece of paper inserted. On the inside bottom and centered, it has an old Westmoreland Glass Company logo which is a “W” inside a Keystone which dates it between 1910 and 1929.  Other towns in the area are Essig, New
    Ulm
    , Courtland, Hanska, Comfrey,
    Springfield
    , Wabasso,
    Redwood
    Falls
    ,
    Franklin
    ,
