    Antique Sandwich "Beehive and Thistle" Lacy Glass Dish, Boston and Sandwich Glass Company, c. 1835-1855. This dish is in an octagonal shape. This is a very heavy flint glass dish with a deep bell tone ring to it. It is one of the most popular lacy glass dishes manufactured at The Boston and Sandwich Glass Company, Sandwich, MA.. It is listed in "A Guide To Sandwich Glass Pressed Tableware" by Barlow and Kaiser, plate #1101, where it booked for 0 back in 1993. It is made famous by it's center motif which has six beehives back-to-back with bees between each one. The border panels have shields, an eight-pointed ornament and a large leaf. The lacy flint glass gives this dish a silvery sheen to it that catches the light. Very nice heavy flint glass dish offered here with no reserve and a "Buy It Now".
