Sandwich Lacy Clear Glass Basket of Flowers & Rosette Salt, Boston and Sandwich Glass Co., Sandwich, MA., c. 1835-1845. This is a fine early flint lacy glass open salt. This salt is Neal BF 1D. This salt is listed in "A Guide To Sandwich Glass Blown Tableware, Cup Plates and Salts" by Barlow and Kaiser, plate #1447, where it booked for 5 in clear glass back in 1987. Very nice early Sandwich lacy flint glass salt offered here with no reserve and a "Buy It Now". SIZE: The salt is 2 1/8" H. x 1 7/8" W. x 3 1/16" L.. CONDITION: The condition is very good with a scroll on top of one foot missing. This is not damage, but appears to be a manufacturing flaw as it appears to be the way it was made. There is also a shallow chip to one of the top corners and minimal roughness to the edges. This is very good condition for a rare 150 year old glass salt.
