Letter Opener London England Beefeater Dagger Style Silver Toned Vintage Scarce

Availability: 100 in stock
  • Refund will be given as: Money Back
  • Condition: The 3-jeweled (probably rhinestones and not rubies of course) proud Beefeater sits atop this rare letter opener made in England from the 1960s or before (see Description below). It's study and mostly shiny but does show handling and use because it was used by my Grandparents' who passed away in the 1980s. The London red crossed shield (coat of arms) is all beautiful and no loose parts are present. The very tip of the opener, perhaps 1/16th to 1/8th, is chipped off. Otherwise, it's a stunning and heavy example of the kinds of more expensive "souvenirs" travelers would bring home back in the 1960s and before.

    Description

Given to me in the 1960s by me grandparents who passed away in the 1980s. They traveled to Europe twice in their lives and this is one of the souvenirs they brought back with them.
A fine example of sturdy construction of such items travelers would bring back for souvenirs. My grandparents actually used this in their home before giving it to me in the mid-1960s along with some other items they got in Europe.
