About The Artist
The artist Josephine Maisonet developed an interest in things masonic as a result of her husband who is active in Freemasonry and its appended bodies such as the Masonic Knights Templar and the Holy Royal Arch. She herself is a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. The "Order of the Eastern Star" is a Masonic appendant body open to both men and women. Members of the "Order of the Eastern Star" are aged 18 and older; men must be Master Masons and women must have a specific relationship with Masons. As an artist, she finds the richness of the esoteric symbolism within Freemasonry an abundant source of inspiration.
