  • Condition: Very good used condition. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs that I can see. Th glass is clean and healthy free of clouding or hard water stains or fogging. There are a few small air bubbles glass and straw marks in the glass, common in glass from this era.

    Description

    This is an Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) 8 inch scalloped edge open compote in the Imperial (AKA Jeweled Moon and Stars) pattern by Co-Operative Flint Glass Company, Beaver Falls, PA, Circa 1896.   The compote is in very good used condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs that I can find.  There are a few air bubbles and straw marks throughout the piece, both common in glass made during this period.  These are not distracting to the piece and add additional and unique character to the piece.
    The glass is clear and healthy.  There are no marks on the inside of the bowl from use.  It looks never used. The bowl is free of clouding and fogging of the glass.
    The compote stands about 8 inches tall (to the bottom of the scallop and about 8 3/8th inches to the top of the scallop), about 8 1/2 inches across the top, and about 5 1/8th inches across the bottom of the foot.  The pattern is clear and crisp.    Please review the pictures because they are part of the description.  I have loaded them in the detail option so you can blow them up from a detail look at an area.  the bowl is heavy at 3 pounds 9 ounces before packing.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.  Look at my other items and take advantage of reduced postage with combined shipping.

    I do combine ship as long as I feel the pieces will not be compromised.
    I package all items in recycled peanuts and bubble wrap.  All items are well protected.  Insurance is included in the postage.  I will be responsible to file all breakage claims and paperwork.  I will need photos of the damaged piece and box w/ label.  Save all items (Including packing material, box, and items broken and unbroken), we may need them if there is a problem with the claim with the post office.
    Please do not pay until I have invoiced you if shipping is not free on your purchase.  The shipping calculator makes mistakes that will overcharge you sometimes.  I will refund any cost over the purchase price and actual postage printed on the shipping label, if it is over .50. I will never charge you additional postage for an item if the calculator makes a mistake in your favor.
