    Description

    Offered for sale is a stunning antique flint glass whale oil lamp manufactured during the early 1800s.  The lamp has a (6) paneled base, a wafer stem, and a font which displays the Horn of Plenty pattern. The lamp stands approximately 10 1/8" tall from the base to the top of the metal collar and it has a hollow stem.
    The overall condition of the lamp is excellent.  It is extremely clean and it has standard roughness to the base, underside, and a few of the mold seams/edges.  The font has no oil residue inside and the clarity of the glass is excellent with no cloudiness. The bottom edge has some very small knicks, fleabites, and a couple of flakes on the corners in addition to some light rubbing from where it was slid around.  The brass collar is original and it is solid with no cracks.
