    Antique Sandwich Glass Translucent Blue Covered Pomade, "Flat Diamond + Panel" Pattern, The Boston and Sandwich Glass Co., Sandwich, MA., c. 1850-1870. This covered pomade jar or toothpick is a very rare and beautiful piece of early American pattern glass. This is a very rare translucent cornflower blue color in a rare form for early glass. This pattern is also called, "Lattice + Ovals". This pomade jar is illustrated in "A Guide to Sandwich Glass - Witch Balls, Containers and Toys" by Barlow and Kaiser, plate 3266.
