Antique Sandwich Glass Rayed Star & Fan Flint Glass Cup Plate, LR-23, The Boston and Sandwich Glass Co., c. 1828-32. This Sandwich glass cup plate is one of the earliest of the flint lacy glass type and it is large, heavy and thick. The plate is very early and is molded with very thick glass. This pattern is Lee-Rose #23 and a variant is listed in "A GUIDE TO SANDWICH GLASS BLOWN TABLEWARE, PRESSED CUP PLATES AND SALTS" by Barlow and Kaiser, plate #1344b. CONDITION: The condition is very good to excellent with minimal roughness to the rim.
