Description
The auction offers an Antique Pressed Ship "CADMUS" Flint Glass Cup Plate, The Boston and Sandwich Glass Co., LR 610A, Sandwich, MA., c. 1830 - 1855. This is a flint glass cup plate that I believe is usually called "Cadmus" or "Constitution" by collectors. But it may not be either, because of this Barlow refers to it as the pressed "Ship" cup plate. This cup plate is Lee-Rose #610A, and Barlow #1418. A similar pressed ship cup plate is listed in "A Guide To Sandwich Glass Blown Tableware, Cup Plates and Salts" By Barlow and Kaiser, plate #1418, where a clear glass cup plate booked for 0 back in 1987. I offer this early flint glass "Pressed Ship" cup plate with a Buy It Now. SIZE: It measures 1/2" H. x 3 11/16" Dia. CONDITION: The condition is very good with some minor nicks and some minor rim roughness the only excuse. The flint glass dish does exhibit the manufacturing flaws prevalent in early flint glass. This includes; straw marks, sand and bubbles in the glass, and minor mold imperfections. SHIPPING: Buyer pays actual shipping costs based upon the 9 ounces weight and postal zone. Please use the shipping calculator within this listing to calculate postage within the continental United States. This includes professional packing with USPS delivery.a.imagelink {color:#0000FF;} a:hover.imagelink {color:#0000FF;} a:visited.imagelink {color:#800080;} a.imagelink img.auctionimage { border: 2px solid #0000FF; } a:visited.imagelink img.auctionimage { border: 2px solid #800080; }
