    Description

Antique Pressed Glass Diamond, Star & Fan Flint Glass Cup Plate, Lee Rose 49, Probably The Boston and Sandwich Glass Co., c. 1828 - 1832. This flint glass cup plate is one of the earliest of the flint lacy glass type and it is heavy and thick. The plate is very early and is molded with very thick glass. This pattern is Lee-Rose #49 and it is probably a Sandwich Glass example. I offer this Sandwich glass cup plate here with no reserve. DIMENSIONS: The cup plate is 9/16" thick x 3 5/8" Dia. CONDITION: The condition is very good with minimal roughness and no damage. This has an annealing line that runs across one side of the cup plate from the center. It looks like a crack, but the cup plate rings beautifully and if one looks closely you can see all kins of bubbles around this line. There are also straw marks, bubbles, sand and other imperfections in the glass typical of glassware from this very early period. SHIPPING: Buyer pays actual shipping costs based upon the 11 ounces weight and postal zone. Please use the shipping calculator within this listing to calculate postage within the continental United States. This includes professional packing with USPS delivery.
