    Description

Offered for sale is a nice antique colorless glass cup plate manufactured during the early 1800s.
The cup plate is Lee Rose #676 and it features an American Eagle with shield, arrows, and olive branch in the center surrounded by stars and a banner in its beak which reads, "Fort Pitt".  The cup plate measures about 3 11/16 " in diameter and it has 60 even scallops.  This is an original and it has been tested to ensure it rings true.  It has also been measured and the scallops have been counted to ensure accuracy.
The overall condition of the cup plate is very good.  It has standard small chips and flakes to the rim with a few scallops missing and some small chips to the table rim.  The clarity is very good and the impressed pattern details are sharp.  You can expect to find the standard imperfections associated with older glass to include airbubbles, strawmarks, inclusions, etc.
