The auction offers an Antique Clear Glass "LOG CABIN" Sandwich Flint Glass Cup Plate, LR 593, The Boston and Sandwich Glass Co., Sandwich, MA., c. 1839 - 1841. This "Log Cabin" clear glass cup plate is Lee-Rose #593, because there is no planking on the door. This was made after William Henry Harrison opened his campaign with a party at his log cabin home. A cup plate similar to this, is listed in "A Guide to Sandwich Glass Blown Tableware, Pressed Cup Plates and Salts". The plate #1416, where it was valued at 0, back in 1987. I offer this early flint glass "Log Cabin", cup plate with no reserve. SIZE: It measures 1/2" H. x 3 1/4" Dia. CONDITION: The condition is very good with minor nicks and some minor rim roughness the only excuse. The flint glass dish does exhibit the manufacturing flaws prevalent in early flint glass.
