Description
Description: An elegant little lidded jar in flint glass. It's either English or American, made in the second quarter of the 19th century. The glass is slightly gray, but the piece is exceedingly well-made and well cut, with panels and horizontal lines around the base and round punts around the edge of the lid.There are rough pontils in the center of the foot and up inside the lid, under the knop.
Size: 7.25" tall, 3" in diameter at the mouth, 3" at the foot.
Condition: Wear to the underside of the foot. Large chip to the panel-cut knop. Otherwise fine.
