Description
You are bidding on a great original old letter opener which advertises the Peoria Life Insurance Company, Peoria Illinois. It is very decorative and has an impression of the building. It measures approx. 9 3/8” in length, and at the widest point approx. 1”. I do not know the type of metal but it is not magnetic. On the top of the item it says, 19 20 Fifty Million, so I assume that it is from the 1920 era. There is wear at all areas, nicks and bumps at the edges of the blade, spotting, darkening and some staining on the blade and the tip is slightly bent, (See pictures). The base has darkening and similar wear but the image is nice. It is heavier and weighs almost 4 oz. PLEASE SEE OUR PICTURES AND/OR SCANS FOR MORE CONDTION DETALS ANDCONTACT US IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS
